Default miata spring question

need to replace the springs on the new play toy - what type/where to get springs for the 95 miata would anyone recommend mostly autocross not worried about street manners. Going on a set of new KYB AGX's that I have. It seems lowering is the big deal in looking around, spring rates not so much. Trying to get ready for Danville next weekend
On yea anybody have the metal rain rail where softtop bolts to body?
Thanks for any help
Gene

Rain rail is a flexible plastic/rubbery piece with just a little metal reinforcement. For lowering track springs Flying Miata makes the only stock type lowering springs that I would run. You need Koni shocks with 800-400 springs in a 2.25" diameter on Ground Control sleeves.

You don't say what class you're building for. If an "ST" class then the Ground control set up with 700-400 with Koni race in front and Koni sport(yellows) in back.

I'm on 700/450 with Koni race front and back.

Figuring on STR??? Ordered new top and rainrail but missing the metal center reinforcement piece(have both curved sides). I have gone to most of the sites ya'll mention -- found H&R race springs, Eibach Pro-Kit, Racing Beat and the Flying Miata that they say is better than stock( stiffer ride)? So not sure! Presently car is set up for 60's - front so low almost scrapes the garage floor and 6" between rear tire and fender.
Fastest setup for the car -- me in the passenger seat!

None of those Springs are actually race Springs they are simply lowering springs with slightly stiffer spring rates than stock. If you want to go fast the koni shocks Ground Control coilover kit and I buy 2.25 inch springs for the ticket

What Hodges said. Don't know of anyone very local. Try 42 Autosports in Concord. Sam Strano at stranoparts.com.

As to set up I would start with 4.25 in at the front pinch weld, 4.5 at the back. Get a good alignment.

For reading go to Miata.net and go to the autox forum. Threads in there about setting up STR and STS. Steal their ideas.

I have the metal part you are looking for. are you just looking for the center piece or are you looking for all three pieces?
