Default Co-Driver Question

I am going to be running the Greensboro park and ride event this weekend.
I believe I may be bringing a co-driver for this event. As far as registration goes, will he register with the same car number or different? If different will we need to change the number at every driver swap or how exactly does that work?
If I remember correctly we will alternate back in forth during the same run group till both of us get 5 runs in. We will both be running Novice ES.

I have switched cars since my last event at Danville in the red mazda 323. I am now part of the miata crowd in a blue 97. Should be a fun event!

After some searching and reading some more, it looks like I will need two sets of numbers. It looks like most people just add a 1 or something simple to the second number for the co-driver. Luckily we will be in the same class, so it should make it easy to add a 1 to the beginning or end of my number.
Would a strip of painters tape suffice as a "1" or how do most of yall do it?
